What are we even doing?

Either let go or get dragged. That's the statement my yoga teacher said at the beginning of a class last week. We were all asked our reactions to this and I promptly informed her and the class that I am DEFINITELY getting dragged! The world has seemed to be a fever dream the past year or two. We all are having a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, the silver lining on the cloud, the lemonade from lemons, etc. Most people I know are feeling hopeless and helpless and are unsure of the answers to the many questions that exist. Even my colleagues and I are struggling to make sense of the dumpster fire that is the current sociopolitical climate. As therapists, we want to be helpful and give hope and guidance. That has been difficult lately as we all try to make it day by day. I wish I could give more, say more, and do more but have no idea what that is! What I can give is a safe supportive and nonjudgmental space. Hopefully that's enough. -Dr. B
